This is the first book, I will starting my blog with. It is called the Silent Sister, but Diane Chamberlain.
I am really enjoying this book, even though I am only a third of the way through. The main character in the book is called Riley McPherson. I absolutely love this character, her overall aspect on life after the loss she has been through. After losing her mother, all she had was her father and brother, which she learnt to adapt too, however then her father passed away and her brother changed to experiences in the army. You sort of get the feel that she is basically alone in the world.
However, when trying to clear out things that her father owned, she came across a postbox in a different name that contained letters that were addressed to her father, and these letters hold a whole new truth. However, I like the way that the author has introduced the letters, but then carried on the general way of telling the rest of the story. This relates to everyday life, when you put things to one side to deal with other things and completely forget about them. I enjoy reading the book, as I am just waiting in suspense of what the letters really do contain.
